Casa Ojai Inn has earned a Leadership Level status this week by completing and passing a comprehensive Eco-audit survey and property inspection administered by California’s Green Lodging Association.
Ojai, CA February 16, 2011 – Casa Ojai Inn becomes one of 1st lodging properties in Ojai, CA to receive the Leadership Status with California’s State Green Lodging Program. This accomplishment highlights the commitment of Casa Ojai’s team to healthy, sustainable hospitality with a smile. Like many of our guest, we want to stay in environmentally sustainable hotels whenever we travel. Therefore, management at Casa Ojai Inn is making every effort to create an Eco friendly experience without sacrificing our proven comforts and service.
To insure a more sustainable future some of the Eco-initiatives put in-place at the property include: low energy lighting initiatives are in-place – energy efficient lighting is installed when replacing old lighting – off-grid alternative energy source utilized – sheets reuse option for multiple night stays – towels reuse option for multiple night stays – Eco-initiatives are actively promoted to the public – water conservation initiatives are in-place – water conserving devices are installed when replacing old fixtures – recycle containers are located inside guestrooms – reusable food & beverage service is used in lieu of disposable service items – compostable disposable service items are utilized – environmentally friendly chemicals are used in cleaning – the entire property is non-smoking – bulk amenities and soaps are dispensed in guestrooms – plus much more.
