Carmela Ice Cream is scheduled to open on January 10, 2011.
An ice cream shop that will be opening in the Altadena – Pasadena area is something we are all looking forward to seeing.
Apparently they won’t have any seating, a few benches if you want to grab a quick bite. Martoratti said Carmela Ice Cream will continue to be available at farmers markets, specialty markets and restaurants. They’ve also got a cool ice cream truck to be used for deliveries, events and parties.
The location will be at
2495 Washington Blvd., near Altadena Dr.

Carmela Ice Cream is sold at local farmers’ markets, select restaurants and specialty food stores.
We also have a vintage-style ice cream cart available for parties and special events.
Please contact us if you would like Carmela Ice Cream at your store, restaurant or next event.
From their website of current flavors:
Our handmade ice creams and sorbets are made in small batches from fresh, real ingredients such as herbs & spices, flowers, nuts and fruits. We shop local farmers’ markets and have a partnership with Silver Lake Farms, a local, organic farm that supplies us with fresh-cut herbs, flowers and fruits. We believe seasonal tastes better, so check in often to see what’s fresh.
Current Flavors:
