Last weekend, April 16-17, 2011, was Artisanal LA held at the new The Market at Santa Monica Place.
One of the vendors was Porta Mangiare with their simple product line of meatball and biscotti mixes.
I was so impressed with the flavor of the meatball mix that we bought one can of the mix, Calabrese Meatball Mix, made for turkey meat.
We used the mix the other day and followed the directions and was it good. Excellent as a matter of fact.
I had the opportunity to meet the proprietors Steven Lupinacci and his wife Vickie, she’s better known as ‘the meatball lady’ from all the in-store demo’s they do together.
They drove up for the show from San Juan Capistrano where their company is headquartered.
