On top of all the other issues we have in life…. AT&T tries to rethink how it can make things impossible.
It has now been a week since our home phone started acting up, basically our DSL works, but we have trouble receiving calls, we can make calls with no apparent problem.
Receiving calls is sporadic, from either my office, or cell it does the same thing. When call our home phone the line will ring or not and then just go off hook and then go dead. About 1 of every 4 calls will go through. I have disconnected all devices on the line inside the house and the same thing happens.
An AT&T phone tech came out and tried to fix it, but said he didn’t have the same options to swap to another terminal, etc.. once the UVerse was installed in the neighborhood.
So now we have a phone line at home that we cannot receive calls. What a waste. After the tech left today, he said to wait until things dry up and see if the problem goes away, is he kidding? How about I don’t feel like paying for the phone since it doesn’t work? What happens to the days of 24 hour response, I waited a week to have a tech come out to basically do NOTHING!
And I called again and spent 20minutes answering idiotic menu prompts to only be told that the soonest available appointment was ALL DAY on Jan 8, 2011!!! Are you kidding me!
AT&T just keeps getting worse!
My iPhone service is horrible, drop calls all the time, home phone service is not working, DSL line is not delivering the supposed speed it should be, all together AT&T has failed to deliver. I only wish there was a better option. Charter may not look bad after having dealt with the ineptness of AT&T.
The fact that the technician mentioned that when the Uverse system went in they now cannot do the things they used to do, i.e. putting a customer on another terminal, etc.. really does upset me more and more. Basically AT&T is going to screw its customers because they are trying to sell you more crap. uVerse is not going into my house!
