Councilwoman Gerrie Schipske and the 5th District Solar and Sustainability Taskforce are excited to announce the 2010 Long Beach Solar Tour. The 2010 Long Beach Solar Tour will take place on Saturday, October 2, 2010 and will educate our community on the benefits of solar technology and other sustainability efforts that Long Beach residents are making.

The 2010 Long Beach Solar Tour will feature homes and businesses that have implemented solar and sustainability technology.  The tour is part of the American Solar Energy Society’s National Solar Tour.  For more information about ASES, click here.

Councilwoman Schipske would like to invite you to be a part of the 2010 Solar Tour by opening your home so the public can see your sustainability efforts first hand.

If you would like to showcase your solar panel system, a natural gas refuel station, a California Friendly Landscape, or another type of sustainability effort or technology this is your opportunity.
