Altadena Farmer’s Market Opening Day October 2011

Altadena Farmer’s Market Opening Day October 2011

Joseph Shuldiner, the manager and operator of the new market is in final negotiations with the county and other city officials for approval.

Shuldiner says he also has three vendors committed to the market already, before he’s even put out a formal request: Kentor Canyon Farms (Ventura), produce;  The Garden of…..produce/flowers (Los Olivos); and  Mother Moo Creamery, natural/artisanal ice cream (Sierra Madre).  “I am planning to start with 30 vendors with roughly a 60/40 ratio of farm products to prepared & packaged food vendors,” Shuldiner said in an email to the Altadena Blog.

Altadena, CA is only a few months away from the opening of a NEW farmer’s market in a city that has long been wanted and needing a community market. While others have failed, there are many in support of this new planned market.

The market will take place every Wednesday, from 3-7 PM at Loma Alta Park.
