After 8 months Lil Wayne is home free

After being convicted because of weapon possession charges Lil Wayne is now a free man after serving 8 months in prison. His stint at the Rikers Island jail in New York City started last 2007 which was originally set for a 1 year maximum sentence. Lil Wayne problems with the law started on July 22, 2007 as agents apprehended him with another person because he was smoking marijuana. This was right after a performance in Beacon Theatre. Further investigation found Lil Wayne in possession of a caliber 40 pistol found in his bus. October 22, 2009 saw Lil Wayne pleading guility to illegal possession of firearms resulting to 1 year imprisonment. But if the rapper parlayed good behavior the sentenced would be reduced to eight months. Born September 27, 1982 Lil Wayne in real life is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. started displaying is rapping artistry at the age of 9 and after joining Cash Money Records in 1997 became one of the youngest member of the label. In 2004 Lil Wayne released Tha Carter which pummeled him to a higher level of popularity thus creating the success of Tha Carter II and Tha Carter III.
