626 Night Market announces 2014 Events:

5 Weekends, 2 New Locations in LA & OC

ARCADIA, CA (Feb 5, 2014)—626 Night Market, the original and largest Asian themed night market in the US, returns for its 3rd season this summer with two new locations in Downtown Los Angeles and Orange County, in addition to its Santa Anita Park location.  Event dates and information are as follows:

OC Night Market will kick off the 2014 season early this year at the OC Fairgrounds on the weekend of May 9-11, the event’s largest venue to date and the only three-day event this season.  Event hours are 3pm-12am on Friday & Saturday and 3pm-9pm on Sunday.  Admission is $5 and parking will be $7.  Children 6 and under are free.

DTLA Night Market will take place in Lot 7 at L.A. Live & Staples Center on June 20 & 21, with the picturesque downtown skyline as the backdrop.  Event hours are 4pm-12am.  Admission is $7 for presale tickets and $10 at the door.  Children 6 and under are free.  Presale tickets are available now on our website.  Ample parking is available in surrounding lots.  Public transportation is recommended; DTLA Night Market is a short walk from the nearby Pico Station (Metro Blue or Expo Line).

626 Night Market will return at the historic Santa Anita Park for three weekends on July 18 & 19, August 15 & 16, September 12 & 13.  Event hours are 4pm-1am.  Parking will be free with admission of $3.  Children 6 and under are free.

Each event will feature over 200 food, merchandise, crafts, arts, games, music, and entertainment attractions.  626 Night Market will continue to be a platform for showcasing local food entrepreneurs, businesses, artists, musicians, dancers, and filmmakers.  In addition, this year’s events will include handmade crafts, science, and technology attractions to encompass all of the diverse interests of our communities.

626 Night Market’s theme for 2014 is “Dream Big.”  “As a team of dreamers, we hope to unite the community and encourage everyone to dream big with us.  We wish to empower people to use our event as a platform to launch their dreams, whether it be through testing out a business idea as a vendor, performing on our stage, showcasing his/her art, or being a part of one of our community projects,” says Aileen Xu, spokesperson of the 626 Night Market.  626 Night Market will be continuing its community projects such as the “World’s Largest Cup of Boba Tea,” Short Film Contest, and Screenwriting Contest, as well as introducing new “Dream Big” special projects to be announced later this year.

626 Night Market is now accepting vendor and performance artists applications.  Lower vendor rates start at $98 per day.  Top vendors gross over $10,000 per event.  Last year’s attendance averaged over 50,000 per event.
