907-8526-0080 The City of Pasadena elections have been held and there will be a run-off for City Council in District 1, Tyron Hampton will face former Pasadena Fire Chief Calvin Wells in a run-off election on April 21.
Several streets in the Los Angeles and Burbank area will be closed Thursday when President Obama visits to tape an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and attend a Democratic National Committee fundraiser.
President Obama will arrive in Air Force One Thursday afternoon and stay overnight then depart Friday for Phoenix, White House officials said.
It appears that Burbank Airport will be used as a way to avoid having President Obama driven from LAX to Hollywood. Usually helicopters are used to transport from LAX to Burbank. It is interesting to watch the helicopters arrive and depart.

Athens Services will have a compost giveaway at Loma Alta Park on Saturday, April 11, from 9 AM-noon.
Tons of compost will be available at the parking lot near the Altadena Community Garden for you to haul away (bring your ID or Athens bill for proof of residency). It’s a self-serve event, so you’ll have to bring your own containers (no plastic bags) and do your own shoveling (shovels will be available, however).
Limit for the first hour, no limit from 10 AM-noon or until the pile is gone.
