Many have been to refer to the aftermath of one of the worse disasters in American history and what we will be facing as “The Catastrophe after the Catastrophe”

From the water to the soil to the air, the cleanup complexity with countless hazardous toxins in the environment being released during the fire and afterwards.

There are so many aspects of this that if not handled properly could impact the health of millions.

One example was the compromised water wells for Pasadena, as the fire raged on the City of Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) issued a DO NOT DRINK for the water.

Under no circumstance should the water be consumed. Then a day or two later the water was deemed ok to use for bathing and washing dishes, then a day or two later it was apparently back only through the work of PWP the systems came back online and the water was tested and found to be drinkable again.

But, the test results as promised by city officials had not been released.  Residents of Pasadena should demand from the city that those results be posted.

What results are available and when the test had been conducted. Also results for testing prior to Jan 7, 2025.

A full account of the damage to the water supply should also be demanded.

The other concern is that related to the water in the lines, was that ok to consume or was that compromised as well?

Pasadena serves a large number of water customers and many are still drinking bottled water, while some are still under the DO NOT DRINK WATER advisory.

When and if the city releases the results of the water testing, that is the question.  After requesting the results several times and having the GM and the parties responsible copied, they have not responded.

I will keep trying, but it is disappointing that what was promised was not made available.   There are many questions as to how things have been handled.
