Pasadena Homicide on Wednesday, March 26, at 700 block Rio Grande St.
Pasadena, CA – On March 26, 2025, at 6:16 PM, officers from the Pasadena PoliceDepartment responded to the scene of a single-car collision in the 700 block of Rio Grande St.Upon arrival, officers located a male inside a vehicle that had crashed along the north curbline. The male had sustained a gunshot wound to his upper body and was unresponsive. Officers and then paramedics from the Pasadena Fire Department attempted life-saving measures. The male did not survive and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Detectives from the Pasadena Police Department’s Robbery / Homicide Unit (RHU) and an investigator from the Los Angeles County Department of the Medical Examiner responded to the crime scene to commence an immediate follow-up investigation.
The victim has been identified as a 19-year-old resident of El Monte. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending a next of kin notification.
