Users are encouraged to delete download and delete their data.
To delete your data from 23andMe, you can follow these steps:
- Log in to your 23andMe account.
- Go to your Profile and then click on Settings.
- Find the “23andMe Data” section.
- Click on “View” next to “23andMe Data”.
- (Optional) Download your data: If you wish to save a copy of your genetic data, you can download it before deleting.
- Scroll to the “Delete Data” section.
- Click on “Permanently Delete Data”.
- Confirm your request: You’ll receive an email from 23andMe, and you’ll need to click on the link in the email to confirm your deletion request.
