The Pasadena ARTWalk is Pasadena’s largest urban art fair with over 6,000 people attending yearly. The event highlights some of the best Southern Californian visual artists showcasing their work in painting, sculpture, watercolor, photography, mixed media, ceramics, jewelry, drawings, and printmaking. ARTWalk is free and all-ages are welcome.

Marcello Vavala – Beauty and Brains: the Architecture of Caltech

Explore the architecture of Caltech through this spirited presentation on Pasadena’s jewel of a campus. Richly illustrated with historic images, sketches and architectural details, the evolution of the Caltech campus is revealed through its buildings and site plan and the brilliant architects behind them.

Jayme Filippini – Public Art Walks in Pasadena

Ms. Filippini will discuss two or three of the nine Art Walks in Pasadena. She will make a Power Point presentation to illustrate the discussed walks and what the viewer can expect to see. Many of these walks exhibit art in unexpected places that will surprise and delight the viewer.

Betty Ann Brown – Pasadena City of Art

Famed for the Rose Parade, Rose Bowl, and Craftsman architecture, Pasadena has been a major visual art center for a century. This illustrated lecture presents eight of Pasadena’s important art institutions, highlighting their historical significance and surveying their current offerings. If you want to know more about the city’s past and the kinds of art on view today, this is the talk for you!
