Born in Mexico City into a vivacious Jewish Middle Eastern and Latin family, the lively young singer studied Afro-Cuban music in Cuba and Hebrew and Arabic melodies in Israel. At the Skirball, Nuriya takes the stage backed by a stellar multinational ten-piece ensemble. Be there to experience her vivacious and unforgettable fusion of traditions, which is sure to touch your soul.

“Think Natacha Atlas meets Ojos de Brujo, with a Gypsy horn section tossed in to keep things interesting.”—

“One of the new young divas in world music.”—
