Well Microsoft has launched this website https://how-old.net/ to show off its new face-detection application. Just search for a photo or upload a picture of yourself and then have the app estimate how old you are.

The site features the ability to search for people and select an image and then run the detect.

May is National Electrical Safety Month, and ​the Burbank Fire Department is joining with the Electrical Safety Foundation International (ESFI) to raise awareness about potential home electrical hazards and the importance of electrical safety. This year’s campaign features the launch of the second edition of its National Electrical Safety Month publication, Electrical Safety Illustrated. The issue is titled “That Old House, This New Update” and informs readers about the common hazards posed by America’s aging housing stock and the variety of updates that can improve any home’s functionality, efficiency and safety.

FLIGHT LINE CLUB
Enjoy all the action of the air show in the comfort of The Air Show Network Luxury Chalet. In the Flight Line Club Chalet experience the comfort of the front line seating, with a catered lunch and unlimited soft drinks. Flight Line Club Tickets include VIP Parking (1 parking pass for a single Adult ticket or for every two adult tickets purchased)

Flight Line Club Adults: – Advance $125.00 – at the show $150
Flight Line Club Child (4-12): Advance $75.00 – at the show $85 (3 years old and under are free).

BOX SEATS
Avoid the large crowds and guarantee yourself a great seat close to the flight line and enjoy a great show. Children 3 and under are free and lap only. If you wish to have a seat for your 3 year old and under, a ticket needs to be purchased. No umbrellas are allowed in this area.

Box Seats Adults and Children: $25.00 each in advanced and $30 at the show. 3 years old and under LAP ONLY are free.

Live well by bike and see the city in a whole new way! The 9th Annual Bike Week Pasadena rolls through May 10th-16th, 2015 providing even more opportunities for community members to zip along on two wheels in fun, supported, and engaging ways! C.I.C.L.E., an L.A. based bike advocacy non-profit, and the City of Pasadena present a week-long showcase for most skill levels and age groups to promote bicycling as a safe and sustainable way to access your daily errands and favorite activities!

All Bike Week Pasadena activities are free and open to the public. This year’s highlights include:

  • A Taste of Pasadena Restaurant Bicycle Tour
  • Women’s Bikes Night
  • Bike to Work Day
  • Bike-In Movie Night
  • Pedal Party

Build up an appetite and sample Pasadena’s gourmet treats on the Taste of Pasadena Bike Tour; join a supportive group of women for a bicycle safety clinic and evening ride under the stars; catch ET on the big screen for the bike-in movie night; and Pedal through Pasadena and wrap up Bike Week at Paseo Colorado for a celebration of all things bikes! Enjoy entertainment, food and refreshments at this outdoor party during Pasadena’s favorite week of the year! Join us and access your favorite activities, all on two wheels!

A Taste of Pasadena Ride

Come hungry for a decadent sampling of Pasadena’s tastiest dishes! Join us for a pedal-powered feast and sample food from Pasadena Playhouse restaurants, Whole Foods, and The Luggage Room Pizzeria. This bicycle tour highlights delicious eateries, providing sweet and savory fuel for the journey to each spot.

Location: Meet at Memorial Park Pasadena (Raymond Ave & Holly St.)

What to Bring: Your bicycle, in good running order, a lock and plenty of night lights. All participants should be able to ride a bike safely with the ability to brake, change gears, and balance while stopping and starting. All participants under 18 must wear a helmet and be escorted by a parent or guardian. Children under age 8 should be on a tag-a-long, bike trailer, tandem, or other safe child-carrying device to participate in the ride.

Women on Bikes Night (Ride & Bicycle Clinic)

C.I.C.L.E. will host Women’s Bike Night, including an evening ride under the stars and engaging workshops for women who love to ride, presented by Team Luna CHIX at the Pasadena Cyclery! We’ll end the evening with a post-ride social gathering with discounted drinks and food nearby. This ride aims to create a unique space for women-identified riders but is open to everyone.

Stop by the Pasadena City Hall for a pit-stop during your morning commute to work for coffee and snacks! Energize for the day with nourishment and by connecting with other two-wheeled commuters! Learn safe riding tips and bike routes from seasoned commuters and renew your commitment to bike commuting or take the plunge and pledge to join this growing community! We appreciate you, and so does you community and we’d like to honor you during this nationwide event of recognition and celebration!
