Martifer Solar Open House – June 20th from 1 to 4pm
new logo
Join us at 904 Tremaine Avenue on June 20th at 1:00pm to learn how you can:

  • save up to 50% on your residential solar system
  • lock in low electricity rates
  • achieve energy independence
  • reduce your carbon footprint

Residential

Our Martifer Solar Open House is about one thing – community. It only takes one person, one couple, to create a domino effect in a neighborhood. We think Jace Cook and Rachel O’Connor, proud owners of a solar system on their home, are an inspiration in their community.  Here’s the backstory on how Martifer turned their idea into reality:

“My wife and I had been thinking of adding solar power to our house for several years, but it seemed like a daunting process.  Finally thanks to a friend’s encouragement and recommendation, we called Martifer Solar and it didn’t take long to realize that obtaining solar power would not be so difficult.  Martifer took care of all the paperwork, including rebates that were factored into the price of the system.  Before we knew it, the system was being installed and the friendly crew did an excellent job.  The power was soon flowing and our meter was flying backwards, and the power we save covers the cost of the installation.  And savings aside, we really do feel great about doing something positive for the environment.  Our experience with Martifer leads us to believe that there is no reason why every home owner shouldn’t have solar power installed as an investment that produces immediate returns, and helps save the planet in the process.”

Martifer Solar has been creating these same results for homeowners throughout Southern California. On June 20th we’re excited to share Jace and Rachel’s story with you, in person. We’ll explain how the whole process works, from evaluation, installation and monitoring, we’ll show you how their meter runs backwards, and how a solar panel converts the sun’s rays into energy savings for you.

Solar is today. Join us.

Crushpad Open House and Swap Meet

Join us on June 20th for our Open House

Decorative picture

It’s that time of year again. That is, time for our biggest and most notorious party, the Crushpad Open House on June 20th. If you’ve attended before, you already know there will be an opportunity to taste a bunch of different wines, eat delicious food from gourmet mobile contraptions and share some laughs with some good people. As usual we’re scheming new features and wrinkles. RSVP here.

One of those new wrinkles is the first annual Allocation Swap Meet for our clients to trade allocations of their wines with other clients. If you have bottled wine at Crushpad and are interested in diversifying your inventory, check out the special RSVP page for the Swap Meet. Tell us what you want to trade in the notes field on this RSVP page and we’ll have your trade materials ready and waiting for you at the Open House. Then it’s up to you to wheel and deal. If you sign up for the Swap Meet you will automatically be RSVP’d for the Open House as well.

Looking forward to seeing you here on Saturday June 20 between 2-6PM.

Twiistup 6 coming July 2009
Twiistup 6 coming July 30 & 31, 2009 to Universal City Hilton
Geek-chic SoCal tech event opens call for Showoffs

Innovative Start-ups Wanted for Twiistup 6

Los Angeles, CA – May 19, 2009 – Twiistup, Southern California’s premier event showcasing innovation and connecting professionals from the worlds of technology, media and entertainment, invites startups to apply for 10 free ‘Showoff’ slots at Twiistup 6 starting today. Twiistup 6 takes place on Thursday and Friday, July 30 and 31, 2009 at the Universal Hilton in Universal City, Calif.

Showoffs at Twiistup have the chance to gain exposure and visibility in front of a mix of investors, entrepreneurs and other influencers in the tech/media industry. This year, a panel will select 10 entrants based on qualities including:

– contribution to technology, innovation and entrepreneurship
– value and appeal
– originality and inspirational or thought-provoking content

Winners will be selected in two rounds, the first ending June 12 and the last on June 26, with preferential consideration given to applications received before the round one deadline. Twiistup recently announced an expanded agenda that adds a full day program to the established evening showcase, giving Showoff companies significantly more exposure.

“Sponsors are paying thousands of dollars for space that we’re giving to Showoffs for free,” said event producer Francisco Dao. “If you’re a startup who wants exposure there’s no reason not to throw your hat in the ring.”

Having outgrown all of its previous venues Twiistup 6 moves to the Universal Hilton where it will occupy over 23,000 square feet of space.

Showoff companies will be selected by a panel of the following five judges established in the world of technology and media:

Brady Brim-DeForest – Serial entrepreneur, Founder of the International Academy of Web Television, co-founder of Tubefilter.
Neil Patel – Angel Investor, Co-founder of Crazy Egg and KISSmetrics
Brian Solis – Author of Now is Gone and Putting the Public Back in Public Relations, Publisher of PR 2.0 and bub.blicio.us, Founder of Future Works PR, and Strategic Advisor to Fortune 500 businesses and startups
Mark Suster – GRP Partners, venture capital.  Former VP Product Mgmt Salesforce.com & 2-time CEO and entrepreneur
Andrew Warner – Founder, Mixergy.com. Former CEO of Bradford & Reed.

Companies interested in entering for one of the 10 featured Showoff spots can apply on the Twiistup Web site at www.twiistup.com/call-for-showoffs/.

A limited amount of passes are available for media and bloggers. Media who would like a complimentary ticket to the event should email a request to twiistup@lewispr.com.

We’ve opened applications for Twiistup 6 Showoffs and I hope you’ll pass it along so we get the absolute best companies a shot at a free table at the next event.

Here’s the link
https://www.twiistup.com/showoff/

If you haven’t already heard, Twiistup 6 is going to see a big expansion and be 1 1/2 days. We’re still keeping the party – and the open bar – but we’re working hard to make it the flagship showcase of innovation and digital media.

Hope to see you all at Twiistup 6 in July and tell your entrepreneur friends to get their showoff applications in before the first round closes (June 12th) for their best chance of getting a slot.
