Hosted by USC Gould School of Law and the Beverly Hills Bar Association, the Institute on Entertainment Law and Business has been a Los Angeles tradition for over 50 years. A Preview of the 2012 Institute

The 2012 Institute will be held at the USC University Park campus on October 27 and will feature the big names, informative panels and real-world takeaways seen at past Institutes.

Jim Gianopulos (Chairman and CEO of Twentieth Century Fox Film) will participate in a special luncheon keynote conversation with Bruce Ramer. Popular speaker USC Professor Jeffrey Cole (Director, Center for the Digital Future) will return to provide an update on the Industry, its trends, fads and transformation. Other morning sessions will address the intersection of First Amendment rights and content protection, YouTube success stories and deals (and feature Internet sensation Sam Tsui) and the resurgence of independent films. Afternoon sessions will cover reality talent deals, conflicts of interest and fee arrangements, hot topics in production legal, talent relationships with agents and managers and talent, and dealing with talent unions.
