Continue your July 4th celebration with our annual free Music Under the Stars concert on Saturday, July 7 at Pasadena City Hall’s Centennial Square. This year’s Music Under the Stars will illuminate the night sky with treasured songs penned by iconic American composers John Williams, John Philip Sousa and more. Celebrate America with old-fashioned favorites like Birth of the Blues, Stars and Stripes Forever, and Hymn to the Fallen, along with Broadway Hits Somewhere and Some Enchanted Evening.

Meet Our Soloists:

Known as the “Tenor of the Americas,” Maximo Marcuso is best known for his booming renditions of patriotic songs. As a musical ambassador to the world, Maximo has been honored by both the California Legislature Assembly and the California State Senate for his invaluable artistic contributions to the arts and education. Click here to hear his interpretation of the “Bridge Over Troubled Water.”
A true triple threat, audiences throughout the world have been thrilled by Christina Saffran’s leading Broadway performances in My Fair Lady, Showboat, South Pacific, Phantom, White Christmas, Jesus Christ Superstar, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Sunday in the Park with George, Damn Yankees, Sound of Music, Grease, Company, Me and My Girl, I Do I Do…the list goes on. From Broadway to Classics, Lisa Vroman has established herself as one of America’s most versatile voices. She has been called a “musical and theatrical marvel” by the San Francisco Chronicle, as well as “one of American musical theater’s most beautiful voices” by acclaimed Broadway producer Sir Cameron Mackintosh. Watch a clip of her singing the title song from Phantom of the Opera, which she starred in as Christine Daaé for over 8 years here.

Concert Info

Seating:
General admission seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or low back chairs. Rental chairs will also be available for purchase.

Dining:
Guests may bring their own picnic dinner, but please note no alcohol is permitted. Gourmet food trucks will also be available.

Parking:
Several parking options are located near City Hall, including Plaza Las Fuentes structure (enter on Union and Los Robles Ave); the parking structure at 330 E. Union (between Euclid and Garfield); Paseo Colorado subterranean garage (entrances on Colorado and Green St.). Metered street parking is also available on nearby streets.
