William Brady Reynolds

William Brady Reynolds, the original “Piano Man”, was born March 16, 1939, and died at Jones Regional Medical Center July 31, 2015.

Worship services will be held at 6 p.m. on Aug. 6, 2015, at St. Paul Lutheran Church followed by a celebration of life and a meal, 201 N. Ford St. Anamosa.  Pastor Katie Lowe Lancaster will be officiating.

After graduating from Northwest Missouri State, Brady married Barrie Parks on June 16, 1962. They had four sons, Kent (Lori), Deg (deceased), Joseph (deceased) and Mike (Amanda); five grandchildren, Heidi (Eric Schmitt), Deg, Tessa, Annette and Brady Reynolds; two sisters-in-law, Cecilia Parks, Monica Spinner, and a brother-in-law, Chuck Chadwick; four nieces Jennifer Parks Pratt, Summer Parks, Teri Miller, and Julie Reynolds.

Brady was preceded in death by his parents; his sons, Deg and Joseph; his brother, John; his sister, Rita; and his brother-in-law, Dennis Parks.

Brady first worked as a teacher and later was employed by Farmstead Foods, Summerville Trucking and Waspi Waste.

Brady was also active in St. Paul Lutheran Church, the Praise Band and the Anamosa City Council.

His favorite pastimes were golfing, playing the harmonica and spending time with family and friends having political and philosophical discussions.

He will be greatly missed by all the lives he touched.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
