In case you are wondering if there was going to be additional fallout from the embezzlement, then perhaps the fact that the current General Manager of Pasadena Water & Power is retiring could be another such move to to show residents what the city is doing. Perhaps the fact that she is retiring is a way to save face and keep retirement benefits. What was her involvement, perhaps we will never know, but as GM of the department, you would think there would have been oversight and auditing a fund such as this that collected monies on a annual basis and managed projects with long terms to completion, years in most cases. After 14 years of leadership, Phyllis Currie retired from the Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) on June 30, 2015. The City will be conducting a nationwide search for a permanent General Manager.
During this transition, the City Manager has appointed Eric Klinkner as the Interim General Manager. Mr. Klinkner is currently the Deputy General Manager, a role he has held for more than a decade. Mr. Klinkner has been with PWP since 1995.

Still we have no word that City Manager Michael Beck is stepping down or being fired.
Why?
