SnapChat hacked 4.6 Million User Emails and Phones On Internet Check Yours

With the ever increasing incidents of websites being hacked consumers need to use extra caution to protect themselves.

Check to see if your email or phone was hacked at snapcheck.org

Gibson Security, the firm that warned Snapchat of the security vulnerability on Christmas Day, has created a site, – lookup.gibsonsec.org – that lets users type in their username to see if their phone number was among those leaked.

The website SnapchatDB.info allows anyone to simply grab either as a SQL dump or a CSV text file information.

What can you do? Use extra caution, possibly use different emails for services, or include an appended code to your email for instance, email+snapchat@gmail.com would work.  Then that email can be filtered independently.
