Presented by the Oxnard Downtowners, the Festival is an award-winning celebration packed with exciting music, amazing salsa dancing, flavorful food, and terrific family fun.

OXNARD SALSA ORCHESTRA!
The festivities begin Friday, July 25 at Plaza Park with The Oxnard Salsa Orchestra, ‘OSO.” This all-star salsa band is 
led by Oxnard percussionist Raul Rico Jr. As musician, producer, radio programmer and bandleader, Rico has been involved in various aspects of Latin music for over 40 years. The vast musical repertoire of OSO consists of classic and ‘old school’ 
salsa music focusing on the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. Featuring Candi Sosa and Ruben L. Palazuelos on lead vocals and Oscar Hernandez on piano.

Yari has shared the stage with the biggest names in the salsa world for

Bobby Escoto III is considered one of the prominent bongo and conga players in salsa in his hometown of L.A.
2:00 to 4:00: Orquesta Tabaco y Ron
An exciting “big-band” orchestra whose high-energy, hard-edged brand of salsa music is the perfect way to dance the afternoon away.
4:45 to 6:45: Janeen Puente
Featuring Janeen Puente, granddaughter of the late legendary Tito Puente.
