While we are sad that the City of Los Angeles and Department of Parks & Rec have made Sunland Park an unaffordable and unworkable venue, we are very excited about our opportunity to partner with the Rose Bowl for this year’s Watermelon Festival. The Rose Bowl’s generosity has allowed Southern California’s longest running, all volunteer, non-profit festival to continue into it’s 52nd consecutive year of family fun and charitable activities. 52st ANNUAL WATERMELON FESTIVAL, 2012 – AUG 16, 17, 18 — The Watermelon Festival is a non-profit, 3 day event featuring live music, food, beer, rides, games, shopping, and FREE watermelon.
Mission
Our goal is to raise money for nearly 70 different community organizations, service groups, and charities. These groups range from VHHS athletic program, Make a Wish Foundation, Guide Dogs of America, to City of Hope Research, MEND Poverty Center in Pacoima, and more.

Watermelon Fest 2013 is coming this August 16, 17, 18.
Join us for rides, games, food, shopping, beer, and awesome bands! The lineup is a mixture of fan favorites from past festivals and brand new acts. Everything from classic rock tributes to great original acts featuring latin, blues, funk, alt rock, indie rock, bluegrass, folk, big band, alternative, americana, rock, blues, and more!
