Meteor Sighted Over Southern California

The meteor that many claim to have seen was most likely part of the South Taurids meteor showers which occur during the first part of November.

New data being released after the large meteor struck Russia and injured over 1,600 people, is that the earth is a target and many times more likely to be struck by meteors which could pose a threat of injury and damage.  Advocates of having methods of tracking these meteors.
