A big sophisticated metro area like Los Angeles can be exciting and very culturally enriching, but when the stress of the city proves to be to much, it's time to get grounded and dig in the dirt!  Living near lovely public parks and outstanding showplace gardens like those at the Huntington Library and the LA Arboretum provides inspiration for the simple pleasure of planting something and watching it thrive.

For my smaller indoor plants I have found it helpful to use the right soil and food.  Moisture Control All Purpose Plant Food and Moisture Control Potting Mix keep my plants looking good and minimizes the problems that sometimes happen when I leave the house for days on end (and I admit to occasional good old benign neglect!) that are just part a busy urban lifestyle.
