High Winds Hit Pasadena Area State of Emergency Declared – pictures – video

Over 100 trees down throughout the city as gale force winds hit Pasadena and surrounding areas overnight. Still this morning there are high wind gusts. Not as strong as last night, but still strong.

Here’s some pictures of some of we discovered in the neighborhood. near Hill and Orange Grove in Pasadena.

Public schools are closed including PCC – Pasadena Community College, Alhambra Schools, and various others.

Power outages hit various areas, including areas of Pasadena and Altadena.

City of Pasadena emergency crews are making the rounds checking various areas of damage.

We saw a palm with the top snapped off.

Several oaks down, complete trees and many large branches.

Doors snapped off of closets, gates busted,

other various types of damage

so many types of sounds overnight, from the whipping winds through the night.

Some winds clocked at over 100 miles per hour.

Huge tree fell on a Shell gas station at Colorado and San Gabriel Ave. Crews are on scene cutting the tree.

According to Southern California Edison, there are over 200,000 customers without power as of this morning.

Red flag warnings because of single digit humidity

Super scooper lease has ben extended.
